I'm Claudia and I turned 44 in July. I'm living in Belgium. I'm married for the past 15 years with Wim and we have 2 children. Jarno is our son and he is 17 and Joran our daughter is 13. I've been making card for 7 years now. At first I was making a lot of 3D cards, then I find out about coloring gorgeous digi's and crafting and never stopped doing it since then. I like different styles and I like to try something new and to work with materials, like wood, metals, fabrics,..... Since last year I have discover the project life and ATC and totally love it. I work 4 days a week as administrative assistant.
I’ve always been crafty. I knit, was into counted cross-stitch for a few years, made beaded Christmas tree ornaments. I’ve kept a scrapbook since I was a girl. It included grainy, out of focus black and white photos taken on school field trips and around my home, locks of hair from when I got it cut, and paint samples from when I painted my bedroom walls (pink and yellow.) When I discovered scrapbooking, I took that old scrapbook apart and re-made it using all acid-free materials. I got frustrated with alphabet stickers, though, because I was always running out of the letters I needed. I wanted the Quickutz, then the Sizzix. While I was saving my money to buy one, I found out about the Cricut. The rest, as they say, is history! I now have two Cricut Expressions, a Gypsy, a Cameo and a Portrait, and use all of them to make scrapbook layouts, cards, and other paper items as well. I'm honored and excited to be managing the Cut it Up Challenge Blog!
My name is Gerda and live in the Netherlands, a city called Maastricht. I'm married with a wunderful guy for almost 28 years. Together we have one daughter. I'm crafting now for many years. A few years ago I bought my first Cricut Expression and my Cuttlebug and started to explore. It's wunderful to craft with it. There are so many possibilities and combinations with all the cartridges. Some projects I make together with my daughter for her school. In 2014 I bought my first Silhouette Cameo. All my crafting projects now are based on the Cricut or the Silhouette.
In 2011 I started my crafting blog "CardsCreations" to share my creations with other crafting people. I'am not a computer freak so my hubby assists me with my blog and the photos. He loves my hobby.
I am so excited to be a part of the Cut It Up Design Team! I am excited to share some of my “scrappy” ideas with you as so many share with me!
“Research,” as my son and husband call it, is one of my favorite pastimes; I am entertained and inspired by crafting videos. I enjoy making scrapbooking layouts, cards, mixed medium projects, sewing, home decor, etc.
My photos come from my “real life” as a mother of two grown children, therapeutic horsemanship instructor of several beautiful kids, and a nana of a lovely little girl named Lucy! I am blessed with a supportive husband of almost 30 years. I work as a freelance oboist and private instructor as well as in the therapeutic horsemanship field.
I adore my family, friends, photography, horses, music, and paper! When I can combine two or more from that list, I’m ecstatic!
My favs: periwinkle, bread, ice cream, coffee, flip flops, jeans, Brahms, Donny Osmond, and a day without a clock———you can fill in the categories!
I can’t wait to get to know all of you through your blogs, photos, and projects!
I've always loved crafts - sewing, knitting, tole painting, etc. but paper crafting became an obsession a year after I retired. I started by making a scrapbook using all the old-fashioned tools; stickers, fiskars cutting templates, shaped scissors, and jelly roll pens. Then I bought a Cricut and this amazing journey truly began. I joined the blogging world in July 2010 and really got into card making and entering card challenges. I've been on a number of design teams which has helped me grow as a crafter and explore new techniques and crafty tools. I am a Copic colorist and have taught Copic coloring at a local scrapbook store for 4 years. But I love my cutting machines (Cuttlebug, eBosser, Cricut, and Silhouette) and also teach classes using the Silhouette. I'm happiest when I can combine my coloring skills with wonderful papers and fabulous cut files or die cuts to create fun and inspirational projects. Being on the Cut it Up team is so exciting, especially being able to share the crafts that make me so happy to create.
Hello, my name is Leslie and I am an avid scrapbooker and card maker. I am married and live in San Diego with my husband and our cat Remy. I started scrapbooking in 1998 when I reluctantly went to a Creative Memories class with a friend of mine. I was hooked that first night! Now, many years and way too many supplies later, I love to make any kind of paper crafts and to share ideas with friends and fellow crafters. I really enjoy attending weekend crops and meeting new crafty friends. I have met some of my closest friends while attending a crop or a class. I am very happy to be part of the Cut It Up design team!
Hi there! I am a graphic designer by trade and created wallpaper and gift-wrap patterns for many years. I began papercrafting about 20 years ago and have been focused on making cards ever since - I love the design possibilities in this small platform. I just started blogging in 2018 and have enjoyed the wonderful folks I have met in the crafting community through Facebook, Instagram, and design teams. I like DT work because it stretches me to create projects that are a bit outside of my comfort zone and I have learned a lot of new techniques and tricks! My husband and I have been married for 32 years and we love traveling, wine tasting, hiking, camping and volunteering in our community. We lived in Ohio for most of our lives and just relocated to North Carolina 6 years ago; we love the weather, the neighborhood and everything there is to do here! I’m so excited to be joining the Cut It Up Team!
Hi. My name is Sherri Thacker and I live in Concord, North Carolina. I have been married for 28 years and we have 2 kids, ages 27 and 24. I started stamping in 2000 when the kids were small when I was able to stay home with them. I’ve been sewing for about a year and have recently learned how to arm knit so I’m knitting lots of scarves and having a lot of fun doing that. I also love to read and I always have my Kindle in my hand wherever I go. I’m so excited to be a part of the Cut It Up Design Team.
Daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend who loves to document memories. Scrapbooking is my first love but card making seems to be taking over. My style is clean and simple; I believe less is better. I am a hoarder of many scrapbooking tools and supplies. I try to do something craft related everyday but my play time is limited due to work and family obligations.
I've been an avid crafter my entire life with paper crafting being front and center for the past 20 years. My work has been published in several magazines and I have had the privilege of working for a couple of mfgs. over the years. I've been to CHA many times and have met quite a few of the big names in crafting.
I have a great craft space but have less time since we retired than I did previously! How did that happen? I worked 20 years as a surgical tech in L & D, Open Heart and Opthalmology before health issues forced my early retirement.
Hello, I am Vinita from a retired Kindergarten Teacher by profession and live in India. I am crafting since Dec 2013. I am very passionate about cardmaking. After retirement soon discovered the card making and I hooked. I really love various styles and still learning new techniques for improving mine skills. I also love mixed media and altered art. Card making is how I take some time out from the world, giving me much needed mental relaxation while I consider color, texture and design!
I feel very honored and excited to place in this amazing DT and I hope to inspire others with my creations!
