I've always loved crafts - sewing, knitting, tole painting, etc. but paper crafting became an obsession a year after I retired. I started by making a scrapbook using all the old-fashioned tools; stickers, fiskars cutting templates, shaped scissors, and jelly roll pens. Then I bought a Cricut and this amazing journey truly began. I joined the blogging world in July 2010 and really got into card making and entering card challenges. I've been on a number of design teams which has helped me grow as a crafter and explore new techniques and crafty tools. I am a Copic colorist and have taught Copic coloring at a local scrapbook store, but I love my cutting machines (Cuttlebug, Gemini, Scan N Cut, and Silhouette). I'm happiest when I can combine my coloring skills with wonderful papers and fabulous cut files or die cuts to create fun and inspirational projects. Becoming the owner of Cut it Up Challenge Blog is my newest adventure. I'm a little intimidated but so excited to be able to continue the CIU legacy left by the previous owners and DT members.
My name is Gerda and live in the Netherlands, a city called Maastricht. I'm married with a wunderful guy for almost 28 years. Together we have one daughter. I'm crafting now for many years. A few years ago I bought my first Cricut Expression and my Cuttlebug and started to explore. It's wunderful to craft with it. There are so many possibilities and combinations with all the cartridges. Some projects I make together with my daughter for her school. In 2014 I bought my first Silhouette Cameo. All my crafting projects now are based on the Cricut or the Silhouette.
In 2011 I started my crafting blog "CardsCreations" to share my creations with other crafting people. I'am not a computer freak so my hubby assists me with my blog and the photos. He loves my hobby.
I've always been the crafty type: I started doing counted cross-stitch in high school, got into jewelry making shortly after getting married (22 years ago!) and learned how to crochet about 4 years ago. My entrance into the world of papercrafting began at a Stampin' Up party shortly before my oldest daughter was born. At the time I thought I would get into scrapbooking, but I decided I liked the smaller scale of cardmaking better. I really got into making cards after my twins were born and I haven't looked back yet! (They just turned 13) My favorite tools are my die cutting machine and dies; I rarely ever make a card without them!
Hi! Katrina here from ScrappyHorses and I’m delighted to share with you here at Cut It Up! When I’m not creating and Copic coloring, I can be found in the barn with my horses, spending time with my German Shepherd, or teaching oboe. I also enjoy listening to ’70’s music, hanging out with my family/friends, and eating ice cream with my grand-girls. I love old/vintage, scrappy anything: crafts, books, photos, horses. I’m a dabbler and enjoy several creative mediums. Most of my creations start in Cricut Design Space and include die cuts; so, Cut It Up is the perfect place for me!
Hello, my name is
Leslie and I am an avid scrapbooker and card maker. I am married and live in San Diego with my
husband and our cat Remy. I started
scrapbooking in 1998 when I reluctantly went to a Creative Memories class with
a friend of mine. I was hooked that
first night! Now, many years and way too
many supplies later, I love to make any kind of paper crafts and to share ideas
with friends and fellow crafters. I
really enjoy attending weekend crops and meeting new crafty friends. I have met some of my closest friends while
attending a crop or a class. I am very
happy to be part of the Cut It Up design team!
Treva
Daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend who loves to
document memories. Scrapbooking is my first love but card making seems to
be taking over. My style is clean and simple; I believe less is better.
I am a hoarder of many scrapbooking tools and supplies. I try to do
something craft related everyday but my play time is limited due to work and
family obligations.
My name is Deanne Clarke-Saunders. My hubby and I live in Paradise, Newfoundland Canada. I was an elementary teacher for 23 years but retired early. I am now an Early Childhood Educator (couldn’t stay away from the kiddies!!). I have always enjoyed playing with paper, scissors, glue, and ESPECIALLY crayons and pencil crayons, ever since I’ve been a small child. I just couldn’t stop playing, so I continued by scrapbooking and card-making!I love it!!! My hubby calls me a paper hoarder. He just MAY be right, but I’d never tell him that!!! A man doesn’t need to know he’s right!!! haha!
I live in the north west of England in a small town called West Kirby. I work full time as an Activities Coordinator in a care home and love my job - it's always different and I consider it a privilege to be able to spend so much time with my residents. In the evenings and at weekends I'm an avid papercrafter. I've been making cards for many years and love my stamps, digi stamps, dies, Promarkers and pretty papers. I also love to share what I make and being part of Design Teams is a bit part of that.
My name is Alyson and I live in Barrie, Ontario.
I am an avid card maker and like everything from clean and simple to extreme fun folds. I send a lot of cards myself but I give many away for friends to use and I gift sets of cards to patients at hospitals that I visit. The cards that are left are donated to various local organizations.
Design team work has always been enjoyable for me - I am currently on nine teams. They keep me on my toes as I am always looking for new ideas and techniques.
I look forward to working with my fellow team members at Cut It Up.
